Aran Puppet Theater Group,
headed by Behrooz Gharibpour, started to perform the second puppet opera
in Ferdowsi Hall (Rudaki Foundation of Art and Culture). This opera,
created by the great musician Giuseppe Verdi and based on Shakespeare’s
tragic play of Macbeth, has never been on stage in the form of puppet
show before.
Behrooz Gharibpour has prepared
this fabulous work of art during the whole last year by the help of
his group: Ali Pakdast, Maryam Eghbali, Hengameh Sazesh, Maryam Moeini,
Mohsen Imankhani, Ali Abolkheirian, Ghazal Eskandarnejad, Mona Kiyanifar,
Homayoon Salahi, Salma Mohseni, Afsaneh Zamani, Banafsheh Samadi, Kamelia
Noohi and others.
There are a number of 88 bar
and fixed string puppets and marionettes in this Italian play.
Gharibpour, having received
a diploma of honor for performing his Rostam and Sohrab puppet opera
on the last day of Prague International Puppet Show Festival, is trying
to demonstrate his professional group’s potential and respond to the
enthusiasm of the audience who have participated in his Rostam & Sohrab show
even for several times.
Macbeth puppet opera, directed

This opera, performed in Italian
language, is based on Shakespeare’s tragic play of Macbeth and is
created by the great musician Giuseppe Verdi.

The 1.5 hour opera will be
on stage Sunday to Friday at 7:00 pm (Saturdays closed). To attend please
